Reflections on the wisdom of Todd Baratz

“If you don’t take your mental health seriously you will suffer. Your relationships will decline, your life satisfaction will be low, and you will reenact all the unresolved childhood trauma and cultural issues, impulsively and mindlessly.” — Todd Baratz

This part. I once saw a post that states “Do not make healing your entire identity”. While I do understand the sentiment, healing literally is everything; as once you are healed and have made the commitment to develop and nurture a deep love for self, (and in turn you then develop a deep love for others and all things) , you are finally able to live. You are able to truly, Live.

You are able to thrive, joyfully and blissfully. Living in unresolved hurt and trauma is having to be ‘making it through’, just barely, miserably, darkly, and triggered-ly. Existing..surviving… “just making it through”- only just so.

Surviving or existing with so much suppressed pain, hurt, and suffering inside is hellish. It is a personal and spiritual hell.

This life is far too precious, far too beautiful, far too Divine… to allow your heart, mind and soul to remain caged.
